A House Divided

Yes NoThis has pretty much been my house for the last few weeks.

We agreed we would not watch the results last night, because it would just cause a fight. So we went to bed around 11pm, and waiting until we woke up this morning to find out the results.

Needless to say, I’m over the moon today, but HP was off to work early and I haven’t seen him. I’m sure he’ll be in a right huff for quite sometime.

London and Paris were in town yesterday. They came in for Lorainne’s retirement do tonight, but were here a little early because they wanted to witness ‘history’. They were a bit disappointed as Dundee (labelled the ‘Yes’ city) was relatively calm and devoid of shouty people.

So, we decided to do the touristy thing instead and headed over to St Andrews where we found this lovely chappy playing the pipes. Good on him.

People weren't allowed to demonstrate or play the pipes or such outside of polling stations. So, this chappy was very wise and stood outside the polling station but wandered around South Street (far away from polling) to play.

The big retirement shindig is tonight. Lorainne’s kids are up for it, and a few clients who have become really close to Lorainne are coming. It should be really good fun. I invited HP, but he said he was going to Glasgow tonight to see some mates. I think he thought he’d be celebrating a ‘Yes’ victory. Oh well, he can wallow in his ale without me.

PS-A ‘No’ vote doesn’t keep Giles from relocating me to London. But, it does make things a bet less stressful.
